Department of Culture of the State of Bahia
The Department of Culture of the State of Bahia (SecultBA) is responsible for formulating and implementing public policies that reflect the central role of culture in social transformation and development, while also valuing the cultural diversity of Bahia in its symbolic, economic, and citizenship dimensions. These policies are crafted with consideration of the specificities of the state's 27 cultural territories, focusing on six guiding principles: fostering a culture of citizenship, deepening the territorialization of culture, strengthening cultural institutions, expanding the cultural economy, enhancing intercultural dialogue, and broadening the cross-cutting nature of cultural initiatives.
