Morgana Gama
PhD in Contemporary Communications and Culture (UFBA), with doctoral research at the University of Beira Interior (Portugal). She holds a Master's in Culture and Society (IHAC/UFBA) and conducts research on the relationship between narrative and oral culture in African films and its diasporas. She is a researcher at the Film Analysis Laboratory and a coordinator of the Thematic Seminar on Black Cinemas: Audiovisual Aesthetics, Narratives, and Politics in Africa and Afro-Diasporas. She collaborates with audiovisual diffusion projects such as Cine África from the Brazil African Film Festival, Cineclube Nanook, and Porto Femme Film Festival. She is part of PAVIC (Researchers of Audiovisual, Iconography, and Content) and of the editorial team of the Brazilian Journal of Cinema and Audiovisual Studies.
Federal University of Bahia
The Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) is a public higher education institution in Brazil, regarded as the largest and most influential university in the state of Bahia and one of the most important in the country. It is a public institution maintained by the Federal Government of Brazil and affiliated with the Ministry of Education, operating under the legal regime of an autarchy. Its main campus is located in Salvador, with additional campuses in Vitória da Conquista and Camaçari.
The university is listed among the top higher education institutions in Brazil according to the Ministry of Education. In 2019, it was ranked by QS World University Rankings and the Center for World University Rankings as the third-best university in the North-Northeast region of the country.
Currently, UFBA offers 102 course options, including 94 undergraduate programs in the capital city, seven in Vitória da Conquista, and one in Camaçari.
