Established in 2018 by internationally-awarded, Franco-Senegalese filmmaker Alain Gomis, the center's mission focuses on film creation, distribution and training. The Centre Yennenga aims to be an open-doors, creatively effervescent place, a venue for encounters and for discovering African and global cinema. Since September 2021, the Centre Yennenga has a training program in image editing, sound editing, mixing, and color grading. In this program, 24 young men and women from the continent, with some initial experience, receive free professional training over two years.
