Bárbara Cunha
Bárbara Cunha studied cinema with Béla Tárr and Apichatpong Weerasethakul, is part of the Paradiso Talent Network, is a member of +Women Leaders in Brazilian Audiovisual, and is the Northeast Director of the Association of Independent Audiovisual Producers of Brazil. She is a founding partner of 99 Produções/PE and Coentro Produções/SP. In her international co-productions, she seeks to collaborate artistically and technically with the participating countries. Bárbara directed the documentary feature Flores do Cárcere (2019) and six documentary series for television. Her upcoming documentary Deus é Mulher, was presented at Docs in Progress at Cannes Docs, in the official selection of the Cannes Film Festival. She has produced over 15 audiovisual works, including feature films, short films, and TV series.

The API - Association of Independent Audiovisual Production Companies of Brazil is a national employers' entity whose mission is to advocate for and propose public policies that serve the interests of its member companies, which are classified up to level 3 according to Ancine's criteria – commonly referred to as "entrants” and representing over 95% of the total companies registered in the Agency. Created in 2018 during the 52nd Brasília Festival, the association represents the artistic, intellectual, and physical strength of independent Brazilian audiovisual production, currently registering nearly 200 member producers distributed across twenty-three Brazilian states, collectively holding over BRL 120 million in projects in the FSA contracting backlog.
