Viviane Ferreira
She has directed and written several music videos and short films, including Mumbi7Cenas pós Burkina (2010) and O Dia de Jerusa (2014). She co-directed the feature Pessoas: Contar Para Viver (2019). She is the director and screenwriter for the features Um Dia com Jerusa (2020) and Ó Paí Ó 2 (2023), as well as the immersive documentary Afrolatinas: 30 anos em Movimentos (2024). She is the president of the Audiovisual Institute Mulheres de Odun, where she directs the audiovisual artistic residency program iAMO, and is a co-founder of Odun Filmes. She served as president of Spcine (2021-2023), president of the Association of Black Audiovisual Professionals (2016-2021), chair of the selection committee for Brazil’s Oscar entry in 2021, and artistic director of the Zózimo Bulbul Encounter of Black Cinema – Brazil, Africa, Caribbean, and others diasporas (2019-2020).
Audiovisual Institute Mulheres de Odun
The Audiovisual Institute Mulheres de Odun is a non-profit organization based in the Quilombo of Coqueiro Grande, in Salvador, Bahia. It was founded with a focus on educational processes, artistic research, aesthetic investigations, and content dissemination, aimed at the development of artists involved in audiovisual movements committed to historical reparations. The institute is grounded in the principles of ancestry, uniqueness, and community life.
