Em \u201c\u00cdnfimos em um Mundo Esmagador\u201d, o primeiro longa-metragem de Philbert Aim\u00e9 Mbabazi Sharangabo, o luto \u00e9 uma experi\u00eancia coletiva e particular. Observamos os \u00edntimos dos personagens que se desnudam em sua f\u00e9 e esperan\u00e7a de supera\u00e7\u00e3o.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No filme, Anita (Aline Amike), uma personagem energ\u00e9tica e hipnotizante, recebe sua liberdade da cadeia e descobre a morte recente de seu namorado, Serge (Ganza Moise). A personagem, que dan\u00e7a em bares de karaok\u00ea de Kigali e tenta transformar sua paix\u00e3o musical em carreira, se aproxima de Shema (Rwasibo Joe), melhor amigo de Serge, para lidar com o pesar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O longa \u00e9 caprichado em detalhes, uma dire\u00e7\u00e3o de arte muito bem elencada que utiliza todos os cen\u00e1rios em seu m\u00e1ximo sem ser exaustivo. Centrado em personagens jovens que ecoam as ansiedades sobre amor, auto aceita\u00e7\u00e3o e orgulho, a narrativa avan\u00e7a de forma pausada, como se desse tempo ao espectador de participar do luto dos personagens.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O olhar para o enquadramento \u00e9 peculiar. Em vez de focar no lamento ou na viol\u00eancia gr\u00e1fica, o filme prop\u00f5e uma medita\u00e7\u00e3o po\u00e9tica \u2013 e at\u00e9 distante \u2013 sobre o luto e a supera\u00e7\u00e3o. Sua premissa \u00e9 singular: centrar-se nos momentos &#8220;\u00e0 parte do luto&#8221;, aqueles instantes de vida que persistem e que, segundo Sharangabo, reafirmam que a presen\u00e7a da pessoa morta n\u00e3o se desvanece ap\u00f3s o enterro. Sharangabo conta que \u00e9 sua marca focar a imagem nos rostos, se dependesse dele \u201cfaria um filme inteiro s\u00f3 de closes de rosto\u201d. \u201cOs personagens tem uma vida interna, e \u00e9 muito dif\u00edcil traduzir essa vida para o espectador. \u00c0s vezes precisamos nos apropriar do surrealismo para mergulhar nos personagens, em seus sonhos e suas pr\u00f3prias dimens\u00f5es\u201d, complementa o diretor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O projeto, vale notar, nasceu de forma org\u00e2nica, inspirado em um curta anterior e iniciado por pessoas pr\u00f3ximas ao diretor que estavam em processos de luto. A Ruanda \u00e9 um pa\u00eds com feridas recentes \u2013 os jovens adultos de hoje s\u00e3o os que nasceram ap\u00f3s o Genoc\u00eddio de Ruanda \u2013 ent\u00e3o existe um contexto de luto e lamento na pr\u00f3pria hist\u00f3ria recente.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Al\u00e9m disso, as escolhas religiosas na abordagem do filme tamb\u00e9m chamam aten\u00e7\u00e3o. No bate-papo ap\u00f3s a exibi\u00e7\u00e3o na Mostra, a professora M\u00e1rcia Guerra comentou sobre como achou curioso a exibi\u00e7\u00e3o do catolicismo no filme e perguntou como \u00e9 a rela\u00e7\u00e3o entre a igreja e as demais manifesta\u00e7\u00f5es de f\u00e9 de comunidades diferentes em Ruanda. O diretor pontuou que apesar de vir de uma fam\u00edlia cat\u00f3lica, antes da coloniza\u00e7\u00e3o crist\u00e3, as religi\u00f5es dos povos de Ruanda tinham uma rela\u00e7\u00e3o diferente com o p\u00f3s-morte e o processo de partida.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O filme questiona o imagin\u00e1rio crist\u00e3o ao trazer a alegoria de um \u201canjo negro\u201d . O diretor provoca o espectador sobre a persist\u00eancia dos s\u00edmbolos crist\u00e3os serem sempre brancos, propondo uma reimagina\u00e7\u00e3o dessas figuras aleg\u00f3ricas em um contexto africano.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Essa discuss\u00e3o ecoa principalmente na figura de Anita, que mesmo enfrentando tantas dificuldades, acredita que est\u00e1 sempre acompanhada de seu anjo da guarda.
