Escrito, produzido e dirigido pelo cineasta ganense Nii Kwate Owoo, o filme exp\u00f4s as pol\u00edticas dos regimes coloniais europeus que, ao estabelecerem seu dom\u00ednio, tentaram apagar todos os vest\u00edgios da civiliza\u00e7\u00e3o, religi\u00e3o, l\u00edngua e arte africanas. Misturando alguns truques e muita aud\u00e1cia, Nii Kwate conseguiu enganar as autoridades e o sistema de seguran\u00e7a do museu para ter acesso aos cofres subterr\u00e2neos secretos. O filme revelou, pela primeira vez, centenas de milhares de obras de arte raras e nunca antes vistas do Imp\u00e9rio Ashanti, roubadas pelos brit\u00e2nicos, assim como outros tesouros saqueados por suas for\u00e7as expedicion\u00e1rias quando pilharam a Cidade do Benin, em 1897.
